iOS 9 Jailbreak

   Many Apple users have upgraded to the newest software, iOS 9-9.1.  There are also many people who love to jailbreak their phone and make it as customized as they want.  If you do not know what a jailbreak is, it is a (legal) hack that you can download on your Apple device to customize your phone in many different ways!  Before iOS 9, iOS 8.1.2 was the latest software you can jailbreak, as iOS 8.1.3 and 8.1.4 were patched.  And with all the new features in iOS 9, many people wanted to update, but others wanted to have a jailbreak.  There were many rumors going around that Apple upgraded their software to make it almost impossible to jailbreak.  But that was proven wrong, as shortly after the official release of iOS 9, jailbreak team Pangu released their own iOS 9 compatible jailbreak.

  This came as a surprise, as it came out so soon.  But of course, this came with a downside.  Many of the most popular tweaks, which are different options you can download with a jailbreak, among the jailbreak community are not fully compatible with iOS 9.  But there are many new tweaks that come along with it.  Such as new themes, which you download to customize the icons and entire look of your iPhone.  But there is one big reason about why people who do not have an iPhone 6S, with the new 3D touch jailbreak their phone.  Not too long after the jailbreak was released, a brand new tweak was released as well.  What this tweak does is allow you to get that 3D touch on any lower model iPhone's, that do not originally come with it.  There is also another tweak that allows you to take live photos, that move when you hold on them.  With all these new features that you can get with a simple 10-30 minute jailbreak process, you can save the money of buying an iPhone 6s. So, if you want to impress your friends with some iPhone 6s features on your iPhone 5, just jailbreak your phone and look up a tutorial online to do so!

Lamar Odom

      Lamar Odom has recently been in a coma for three days, after a drug overdose.  Lamar Odom is a basketball player who played on the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.  Doctors say that he is little by little coming out of his coma, which is to them miraculous!  On Friday, he woke up and spoke for the first time since Tuesday. He is still on a dialysis because of a kidney failure.  He has suffered a lot of brain damage, and the doctors don't know how much until he is fully awake.  He was able to say "good morning" and give a thumbs up to Khloe Kardashian.

  Odom had an ischemic stroke, which is caused when you have a blood clot stopping the blood flow to the brain, and is many times in relation to an overdose of drugs, specifically cocaine. He is now breathing all on his own, but is still wearing a non rebreather mask, which is a mask that pumps oxygen into his body, when previously he had to use a ventilator.  After an EKG test, it showed that his heart is on a normal beat, and his blood presure is also good. Hopefully, after all of this, Lamar Odom will be all good without any much harm done.

Los Angeles Upgrades Their Earthquake Safety

     On Friday, the Los Angeles City Council adopted the nations strongest earthquake safety laws.  This made the owners of about 15, 000 require to make their structure and outline stronger.  A study shows that if Los Angeles is hit with a really large earthquake, that anywhere from 3,000 to 18,000 people can get killed, and there will be lots of money lost for damage of buildings and other things.  It is also shown that the two weakest type of buildings are soft concrete buildings and wood apartments, with a very weak first floor.    Many of the upgrades will cost $60,000 to $130,000 per building and lots of money for the bigger ones.  

     If they fail to complete the upgrades, there will be many deaths in the next earthquake, and many houses will be destroyed.  Wood apartment buildings have seven years to fix their structure, and ones with brittle concrete buildings have twenty-five years.  This law also allowed owners to make their rents a high $75 a month to help pay for these hefty costs. People with concrete buildings will have a much larger price to pay.  Los Angeles decided to pass the  law because  in 2011, the fall of two concrete towers killed 133 people, which made them realize that they need to upgrade their standards.  

     The Los Angeles Times team found out that there are more than one thousand buildings that are made out of concrete, most in such places as Westwood and Ventura Boulevard, two very busy commercial districts.  Only 68 of those thousand buildings were retrofitted.  This helped Eric Garcetti begin a very expensive campaign to help with earthquake safety.  Concrete buildings are the deadliest, because when they fall, they kill many people.  Hopefully not too many people get injured from now on!

Israel at United Nations

    On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced to the United Nations to try and launch an assault on the nuclear deal we made with Iran, saying that Israel will never let them create any nuclear weapons.  Israel has warned everyone that they are prepared to use the force of their military so Iran cannot get any more stronger weapons.  Iran, however, does not agree and says that they want their nuclear weapons because their program is peaceful.  

     Barack Obama and his staff have very thoroughly defended their agreement with Iran, though Republicans have tried to kill the deal, and Israel is saying that it can star a new war in the Middle East.   Obama has already ruined his relationship with Netanyahu months before they made the deal, because of Israel's campaign against it.  Netanyahu said that doing this deal will cause a lot of destruction.  He held up a book, written by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khameni, which was a 400 page book, saying that he planned to destroy Israel.

     Netanyahu accused the General Assembly and United Nations as an engaging incessant, and unjustified targeting Israel. He made it clear that Israel will use their military forces to prevent attacks from Syria and Iran to destroy them. Hopefully, none of this happens, as if it does, World War III will break out, and who knows how long it will last...
