Google Play now shows which apps have ads in them

Google has just made a major change to their Google Play store.  The Google Play store is the app store for devices with Google software.  This new update helps people who download apps make better decisions on which apps they want to download.  In this update, Google now shows which apps contain ads in the app store. The indicator on which it shows whether it has ads or not will appear next to the indicator of in app purchases. This update could also be a downside for app developers.  Many apps nowadays put a lot of adds in their games so that they can earn money when people click on them.  If a person does not know that the app has adds, they are more likely to download it.  There will be a decrease in revenue for many app developers, as people will now check twice to make sure that they will not download apps with ads in them.  Many people who download apps find ads as an annoyance, or a way to make extra money on the side.  App developers make money from the ads when people accidentally click on the ad while they are playing the game.  This could often take a while for people to go back into that app if their phone is slow.  I personally find this as a good feature, and hopefully one that Apple hopes to adopt soon, as the App Store has much more apps in it than the Google Play Store.

FBI doesnt need helping unlocking another iPhone.

The US Justice Department keeps asking for things and then go back on their word.  They keep on asking Apple for help to unlock iPhones in different cases, but then they go back and say that they have already unlocked it themselves. This past Friday night, the government filed a letter to a court in Brooklyn saying that it does not need help from Apple to unlock an iPhone 5s that was used by a drug dealer.  They said that a person had provided them the passcode to the iPhone so that they can gain access to it.  This is the second time this past month that they have dropped a request to Apple needing help to get access of criminal data.  The first one was an iPhone used by one of the terrorists in San Bernardino, California.  Both times, they ended up getting help from a third party source to help get into the iPhone and access all the data. Apple has not yet responded to the filing.  The FBI keeps on trying to get Apple to create a backdoor to bypass security features on the iPhone, but it keeps on looking like they already know how to do it themselves. They should really make sure that they cant unlock it themselves before they go to consult Apple a third time and go back on their filing again.

More iPhone 7 Rumors

Apple may be looking to start using Intel LTE chips in the iPhone 7.  Intel is a very advanced company and is very ahead in technology.  To see their technology being used in an iPhone is very good.  The Intel LTE chip is much faster than the current one in the iPhone 7.  Intel is mostly a PC company though, which means that their technology might have to be altered to be used in the Apple iPhone. Another big rumor is that Apple is looking to incorporate new camera technology.  Leaks have shown that Apple had been granted a patent that had to to with the iOS device camera.  This patent involves a photo sensor and a compact folded telephoto lens system.  This system could help Apple to install a better camera component with a higher resolution optical lens.  And the big rumor that Apple is removing the headphone jack is becoming more and more closer to  a reality.  It is still not confirmed by Apple, though there is a high probability that it is true. The shape and design is likely to stay similar to the iPhone 6s, but much thinner which is because of the removal of the headphone jack.  With a thinner iPhone, the camera may be more protruding and will have a higher chance of getting damaged if you drop your phone.

Apple iPhone 7

There have been many leaks and rumors about the iPhone 7 and a really big thing was just leaked. Sources show that Apple has made a large order of OLED (organic light emitting diode) screens from Samsung.  OLED is a light-emitting diode containing thin flexible sheets of an organic electroluminescent material, which is used for visual displays such as screens. OLED is much better than the current LCD screens, and is also the same material used on the Apple Watch.  What is bad about the OLED screen is that it is a little bit heavier, which may be a turn down for Apple users. Another rumor going around is that the iPhone 7 might have a back made out of glass. Glass backs are also used on Samsung devices.  The glass does not weigh as much as the current aluminum, but at the same time it is a lot easier to break if you drop it. There is many controversy going around about this, and as far as rumors go so far, the iPhone 7 is dropping in September, which may be a little too soon for Apple to complete their phone!

New iPad Pro

Along with the iPhone SE being revealed at Apples Monday event, another thing they released was a new iPad Pro. This iPad Pro is a much smaller iPad with a 9.7 inch display. The iPad will be on the shelves for people to buy on March 31st.
The iPad Pro comes with Apples latest A9X processor chip, a 2048 by 1536 display and a 12 megapixel camera. It also comes in four different colors, Silver, Gold, Space Grey, and Rose Gold, and with three storage options; 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB! Another big plus about this iPad is that the speakers are very high quality and play music very well.   A big difference between this one and the normal iPad Pro is that the iPad Pro has a much better battery and better battery life, which can help out when you're doing work or drawing a picture or whatever you use it for.  This new iPad is very good for people who did not like the gianormous size of the normal iPad Pro.

iPhone SE features

So, Apple had a big event this Monday where they released lots of new things, such as iOS 9.3, the iPhone SE, and a new iPad. It was a big day for Apple and Apple consumers. In this blog, I will be more focused on the iPhone SE. This new iPhone is a combination of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6. It is a smaller version of the iPhone 6 for people who don't like to hold big phones.  It has a longer battery life than both the 5 and 6, which could be very useful. A downside of it is that the camera is not very well, which is bad for photographers and people who like to take pictures. It also comes at the low price of $400, which is pretty affordable to other iPhones. All in all, the iPhone SE is a great overall phone and a great pickup for those who like smaller phones.

Snapchat Rumors

For t hose of you who do not know what Snapchat is, it is another form of social media where you post different pictures and videos, or snaps, on your account for people to see. Snapchat is a $16 billion company, with many major celebrities using the app to share what they do throughout their day. The more that Snapchat grows the more that they want to add new features and create new things for their users. Snap labs, which is Snapchats research team, is supposedly working on a new product, which is rumored to be some type or smart glasses or a wearable device to record what you're doing.
This may just be a rumor, but there are many leaks that show that Snap Labs is working on new ways to make their company more profitable.  They are hiring new 3D visual engineers and app developers, which shows that they are looking to either  improve their app or come out with a new product to sell to their users. Snapchat hasn't really come out with anything other than other new cool features on their app.  Another rumor about Snapchat is that they are coming out with a live streaming app like Periscope or Twitch or something similar.    Whether any of these rumors are true or not will not be known for quite a while, but if they are true then Snapchat is truly making some great progress!

Apple Releases

Apple’s first media event of 2016 will go down on March 21, not too long after Samsung.  On this date, Apple will show off a lot of new products.  One new product that Apple is rumored to release is a brand new iPad.  This iPad will be a bit smaller than the iPad Pro. There is not a lot of rumors and leaks about this iPad, but for the people that do not like the iPad Pro because its too big, this might be a great alternative.  Another product that Apple is releasing is the iPhone SE.  The SE in this phone stands for Special Edition.  The iPhone SE will be a mix of the iPhone 5 and 6.  it will include a 4 inch display and a faster chip than the iPhone 5s, and will have  12 mega Pixel camera, which is the same as the one as the iPhone 6s. It will have a curved screen like the iPhone 6 rather than the iPhone 5 and 5s.  It will also have a larger batter.  It is rumored to have Live Photos but not 3D touch, which will remain on the iPhone 6s.  This is a good phone for the people that like a smaller device with a fast chip to get work done!

Samsung Galaxy S7

So, lets take a break from Apple and their news for a while and lets have a look at the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.  Samsung has recently sent out some test phones to people to test out their new phones for any bugs or anything.  The Samsung Galaxy S7 is Samsung's newest release.  The S7 comes with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software with a 5.1 inch screen.  Some features of this amazing phone is that you can add a MicroSD card to get more storage on the phone, up to 200 gigabytes, which can be useful for taking lots of pictures.  The phone is also water-resistant, so it can be put in a certain depth of water for a certain time without anything happening to it.  It has a 3000 mAh battery, which is much better than the 2550 mAh battery on the previous Galaxy S6.  The Galaxy S7 comes in the following colors; black onyx and gold platinum.  Now, this is not a great variety, but the colors look really cool! Now the camera has also been changed.  The Galaxy S6 had a 16 mega pixel camera, but, Samsung decided to downgrade to a 12 mega pixel camera.  The reason behind this is that the camera is a bit wider, which will allow in more light to give a better quality picture.  Another good feature out of this downgrade is that the camera auto focuses, which mean that if you move in closer to something that it will focus on it almost instantly.  Overall the Samsung Galaxy S7 is a really great phone, but will it be able to compete with the iPhone 7?

Apple vs FBI case

So, recently the FBI has filed a court order to have Apple unlock a phone used by the terrorists of the San Bernardino Shooting in California.  The FBI wanted Apple to create essentially a backdoor to the iPhone.  What this means is that the FBI wanted Apple to create a new version of their operating system to inject onto the iPhone of the terrorist to get data from it to help them out.  This seems very reasonable, but Apple has said no to the FBI, and many companies are supporting Apple.  Apple claims that creating this operating system will remove all major security features used in their iOS's.  If this software is created, it will allow the FBI to essentially " brute force " (which means to force break in) into this iPhone by digitally entering thousands or millions of pas-codes at very high speeds, with no blockage if the pas-code is incorrect. If this type of operating system was made, Apple users information would be at a very high risk, and at this day and age, security is very important in keeping your information safe.  If Apple were to make this system, the FBI could use it to unlock many iPhones in many different cases that they have.  The problem with this is that many people are going to try to be getting this software by hacking into the FBI systems.  This could be very dangerous because once this software, which has not and will not be created, gets into the wrong hands, hackers will be able to steal Apple users information very easily and get into peoples phones.

Good news for Apple users, Apple has strongly said no to the FBI and the judge and has made it clear that security is one of the most important things of iPhones and a major part of technology now a days.  This case shows to Apple users that Apple has such strong security,  and this is shown by the fact that even the FBI, which has very high tech systems cannot even get into this iPhone.  If the FBI cannot get into this iPhone, it will be very difficult for other hackers to get into it.  I am personally standing by Apple and their argument, but what do you guys think of this case?

More iPhone 7 rumors.

The iPhone 7 has more and more tumors coming out by the day. Some true and some not. Today I will tell you some confirmed rumors.   One thing that's being changed is that there will be no more antenna bands. If you've noticed the bands or lines on the back of your iPhone, those are antenna lines to give your phone the signal. Apple is getting rid of those lines to give the iPhone 7 a much cleaner look.   It is rumored to have an iPhone 7 Plus as well with a larger display and specs. The iPhone 7 will also be shipped with the same headphones. But, with the removal of the headphone jack, the iPhone will have to be plugged into the charger port, which means you can't use the headphones while charging your phone. This could get s little annoying but will provide some better audio quality. With the removal of the headphone jack, that leaves an open hole internally that Apple will immediately go to improve the audio with. The iPhone 7 is rumored to have surround sound speakers like the iPad Pro which has amazing quality sound.  If you want to buy wireless earphones, Apple will be producing them but they will not be shipped with the iPhone 7.  Apple is also working on a new technology to make the iPhone 7 water proof or at least water resistant. This will be a major technology that many other companies are working on to implement on their next phones, such as Samsung with their S7. Along with all these features, Apple is working on wireless charging. There are many bugs in this such as the further from the charging source you are, the lower the charging signal will be. This feature may not be implemented in the 7 but rather the 7s, so don't keep your hopes up!

iOS 10 Rumors

iOS 10 already has rumors spreading about what will be in it.  This is good, but the real question is what do people WANT to be added in? One major thing that people want to see Apple add into iOS 10 is a new and improved Siri. Now, Apple has improved Siri a lot since the days of Voice Control, but it still has many unanswered questions.  Apple would need to add a lot of answers to Siri to make it much better.  The more updates Apple has, the more people want them to upgrade Siri.  Another big thing people want is to add features to 3D Touch.  Ever since Apple released 3D Touch, developers have made very cool things that you can do with it, but only for jailbreak users.  Some of these things are very cool, such as clearing your notifications, to 3D touching control center toggles, to doing a lot more stuff.

People also want Apple to add a customizable control center.  This has been something recommended for quite a while.  What this would allow is people to change the toggles in their control center to their preferences and would allow a quicker way to get to toggles.  I cant believe this has not happened yet, a new volume HUD.  The current volume HUD is a very annoying one, popping up very big in front of your screen and blocking a very large part.  It would be nice for Apple to change it so when you click the volume buttons that it would show up somewhere else like the status bar except in the middle of the screen.

There are many more cool things people want to see, but who knows, some of your personal favorites might just be added!

iPhone 7 coming soon, what has Apple changed?

As many of you Apple fans know, Apple releases at least one phone every year, usually in the fall time around September.  This years big release is the iPhone 7, and its a big release too!  The iPhone 7 adopts many new types of technology that we have never seen before, sources say.  But there are also major physical changes in the device itself.  One major change that people are very sad and upset about is that Apple is removing the headphone jack, that was the only way (besides Bluetooth) to listen to music on iPhones. Because of this, Apple users will have to switch over and buy Bluetooth headphones, or the Apple wireless earpods when those come out.  The reason to get rid of the headphone jack is because Apple tries to make their devices thinner and thinner by the phone.  This headphone jack gives Apple an opportunity to make the iPhone 7 a little bit smaller.  There is also rumored to be an iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Mini released, but there is not much information about those at this moment.

Apple is also trying to use a new kind of material on their phones instead of Aluminium.  The reasoning behind this is that this new material will be water resistant, but still not completely water proof.  The iPhone 7 is also rumored to have a big upgrade with an option to get it in 256GB, doubling the previous storage of 128GB! This could be very useful for people who take lots of pictures or videos and  need more space.  Apple is also trying to adopt wireless charging technology, which can be very useful when you are on vacation or just out shopping

All in all, the iPhone 7 is rumored to be an amazing phone, and I hope i can pick it up!

Apple releases iOS 9.3

Apple has just recently released iOS 9.3 public beta for people to test it out. iOS 9.3 is the largest software update for a while, as they have mostly been all minor changes and bug fixes. But, this new update features lot of new things that some people have not seen before, though I have seen most. One major thing that Apple released is a new feature called night shift. This feature is very similar to popular jailbreak tweak f.lux. What this features is a a new way to prevent your eyes from hurting at 3 in the morning. What night shift does to put into smaller terms, is that it uses your location to know when it's day or night, and when it gets closer to night, it makes your phone look warmer and easier on your eyes. And when it's day, it makes it a little bluer and cooler. Of course, these settings will be changeable in the settings. Another big thing is that you can now protect your notes if you have Touch ID. This is very useful for people who have private information on there. Apple had also add a school feature for kids and students. Not much is know about this, but it seems like a great rip off of google classroom. All in all, this seems like a great update.
